Details Big or Small or Revamped

Last week on Met Monday I shared my study with you. More specifically I shared the perfect light fixture I had found for it. Since this is me we are talking about the woman whose brain never stops turning, creating and yes agonizing over things I of course had a plan for my favorite chandelier before I ever took it down from the study. Here is its new home. Proudly welcoming everyone as they enter our home. This was the orginal light fixture that came with the home. Pretty standard issue and in my opinion it really did nothing to warm up the entrance and create any drama.

I love my chandelier here. It looks lovely lit at night from the outside as it glows through the transoms above our front doors. I think it is a much better fit!

The lovely leaves and crystals and all the details were lost against the red ceilings of our study and the coffered moldings.

Of course am I ever done? I am already dreaming of how to paint the entrance ceiling. That of course will be another metamorphis.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my chandelier, To find more wonderful transformations visit Between Naps on The Porch for the complete list of participants.

  11. I've just strolled into your lovely blog for the first time. I've joined your followers list...I can already tell this is a spot I'll need to come back and visit.
The entry Chandelier, is stunning and a much needed focal point for the space.
I ventured over to see the tour of the French Country kitchen. Although the prices were for a Bill gates income, it's still possible to take some of the design elements and scale them down to an affordable budget. I found an abundance of inspiration.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Sweet Wishes,
    Sara
