Welcome to my first Themed Thursday. I am excited to have everyone share their Blue Transferware today. I know many of you sent lovely notes telling me you had no blue transferware to share today but are looking forward to next week. I have tried to choose a topic that I think many of us can participate in one way or another. Next Weeks Themed Thursday will be "Furry Friends Real or Faux". Read to the bottom to find more detail as to how this one will work! Please visit the following blogs to take a peak at some lovely blues.......

Here is a collection of blue transferware plates I have over my bed. This picture was actually taken in my last home but I still have the same bed and linens and the same plates. Even my comfortor looks like blue transferware! I loved the way these plates frame the shape of my head board and the way they look against the wall color.
This was taken at Thanksgiving. I have a set of blue transferware turkey plates. I know blue is not the traditional fall colorway of choice but in my home blue is always in fashion as it is my favorite color.
In this shot you can see my blue transferware pictcher and bunny.
You got a glimpe of these in my wall post but a touch of blue transferware here and there. I especially love it against that green!
Here is one of my favorite pieces. I have had him so long I can't even remember where I found him! I do know that I have not seen another like him. My blue transferware rooster. He sits proudly on top of my kitchen cabinets.
Another blue transferware plate on the cabinet tops to balance things out a bit.
Those are the only picture I had on hand to share. So lets talk about next Thursday "Furry Friends Real or Faux". I myself am a lover of doggy decor, bunny decor and more! I know many of you shared with me over the past couple days that you love dogs, cats, horses etc. You see where I am going with this? Of course I have now officially met Lilly in Barbs last Tablescape Tuesday Post so I would be terribly remiss if I left out the real furry friends (all varieties, well okay really lets skip hairy backed hubbys this time around)so of course please share the ones the don't move and of course the ones that do to! This is sure to be fun! Hope everyone enjoys!
Your blue transferware is just gorgeous. Your rooster in totally magnificent. I have never seen a rooster done in transferware. It is really a treasure. Thanks so much for sharing, and this new event will be fun to see. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love all your blue transfer pieces and I'm a big fan of hanging plates on the wall right now I may have only 3 pieces of blue transfereware. All my transferware is red. I must try the idea you have hanging them over the headboard. Have a Wonderful Day
ReplyDeletePeace and Blessings
Cheryl...Snatch Joy!
This is beautiful! Love the plate arrangements on the walls too. ♥ Diane
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I'm late, but I posted my blue transferware... I was having issues with the mosaic maker. Diane
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that the Themed Thursday was Blue Transferware (duh, where was I) and unwittingly posted my new blue transferware mugs on my blog.
ReplyDeleteA girl gets new blue transferware and you just gotta share!
Blue and white is a passion of mine as well and I find that it goes with every colorway! (which is why it is so great for vases -- any and all flowers look great in a blue and white vase)
You have some really beautiful pieces! I love the arrangement over the headboard, and of course the rooster is gorgeous. Thanks for starting this fun event. I'm on board for next week - I work for a vet so I should be able to come up with something lol. Kathy
ReplyDeleteWow - Love all your plates and that rooster!
ReplyDeleteI don't have much blue transferware and couldn't put my hands on it at the moment, but I have 2 cats, so I'm looking forward to next week! :D Jewel
I love your transferware I love the rooster and the pitcher. Thanks this was fun and I can't wait for next week.
ReplyDeleteYour tranfersware is gorgeous! I don't have any in blue so I couldn't play today. I do have a large collection of dog "stuff" though so I will be next week.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great idea for a blog party but w/ Tablescape Tuesday moving to Thursdays, my participation may be sporadic.
Love the mix of patterns & color on your bed....love it!
Very pretty..all of it. Your wall colors are so nice and the transferware shows well against it. Love your bed and bed coverings too. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this post, it is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh I don't remember ever seeing your rooster. I have never seen one like him. I have always loved the plates above your bed and how the bedding goes so well with it.
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting square plate in your foyer. This was fun....and can't wait for next week. Yoohoo!
You have a great collection! Beautiful!!!

I love your gorgeous collection. I love the blue and white quilt too! I can never tire of blue and white dishes. They're just classic! BTW,it's better late than never but I just participated and posted mine..Christine
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your collection. I also love your bedding. As I mentioned on my blog, I love anything toile!!! I love the plates above the bed but my husband said he would be afraid to have that many plates fall on his head if there was an earthquake (we live in southern California).
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question on my blog. My red transferware all looks pink too. I haven't actually seen any that is actually what I would consider red. But I could be wrong. I really don't know much about transferware except that I love to collect it. I have also started collecting black & white transferware for my bedroom, but I only have a few pieces. My blue & white collection is my biggest.
Thanks for starting this new blog party. It is fun!!!
Kim
Oh & I forgot I wanted to comment on your blue & white turkey plates. I have the same plates but in pink. I have a set of 24 so that I have enough if everyone in my family comes to Thanksgiving dinner.
