Carolina Snow Day!

We woke up to a beautiful white snow scape this morning. We have just crossed over the 6" mark and it is still snowing! The kids are thrilled to have a snow day. I will admit I am too. I love the snow. This is a rarity for North Carolina. I hope everyone is warm and enjoying their day!

  1. Unfortunately the snow hasn't gotten to coastal South Carolina, at least not the part around Charleston. Maybe it will yet today. I love the picture of the fountain.

  3. We loved the snow too! I think we had 5 to 7 inches, though a lot of it has melted now (booooo). :o( It certainly has been pretty.

    Your pics look beautiful.

    Have a great evening!

  5. We have about 2" so far and its really starting to come down. Thats what they said would happen, it would taper from the west towards the east. You talk about a rarity. getting snow this close to the coast is almost unheard of. Been trying to talk Bill into taking his 4-wheel drive truck to the beach. There is nothing more spectacular than seeing a beach covered in snow. Hope you're staying warm. When you get a chance, go over and grab my logo to get the word out. I cann't wait to see your forst post. Could it have anything to do with "R?" LOL Hugs, Barb

  6. Your pictures are so pretty, but you can keep the snow, I don't want it. I'm ready for summer.

  12. Oh, I am jealous! That snow belongs here in PA. (We got some, but not really enough to speak of.)

I love your photos. The one of the fountain reminds me of one black-eyed susan (another blogger here in beautiful bucks county) just recently posted.

Enjoy the snow while you can. It's so pretty.

  15. Beautiful!! It used to ALWAYS snow in Alabama around this time of year, which is my birthday! I remember times my grandparents would have a hard time traveling up b/c the roads were icy! I think they even had to stay in Montgomery one time!! My kids have never seen "big" snow! Need to do that some day soon!! How's the book coming??
